Capitalizing on football fandom

Grocers, restaurants and retailers are finding creative ways to drive sales and retain customers using CuBE's premium football containers.

With over 67% of the U.S. population following the sport, whether professional or college, it’s an opportunity not to be missed (1).

Restaurants are using CuBE’s football themed containers to create value-added menu options , loyalty programs to get customers back in the door and social media contests for brand awareness. With all the food photos we see on social media today, which fan wouldn’t Instagram a photo of a cool football container?

Grocers are also creating football themed display areas by merchandising fan-ready meals and all the fixings to go along with it. “It has drawn a lot of attention and increased our sales of grab-n-go meals”, shares a national U.S. grocer currently using the containers, “the opportunity for retailers is huge because the prospective audience is vast, be it a party host, football family, coaches, schools or simply a fan.”

Even football teams and stadiums have approached CuBE to offer the container as part of special promotions, VIP giveaways and merchandising.

CuBE’s football containers are durable and re-usable, which is why many customers are choosing to custom brand their containers for lasting brand impressions.

Who knew that a re-usable food container would have such marketing power?

We know food containers well - we manufacture them! Our motto has always been ‘RE-USE’ and that’s why we made products that are durable and versatile for use by businesses and consumers alike. Our recent article describing the different end-of-life options for food service waste explained that each option – biodegrading, composting or recycling – requires some level of processing that is attached to its own environmental footprint. All except re-using, which is when a food container is repeatedly used for the same purpose: to contain food. But re-purposing is just as green of an option and the possibilities are endless when you use a container for non-food purposes. We started an idea-sharing display at work called “Life After Food”, where our colleagues brought in some inspired ideas on how they’re re-purposing their CuBE containers at home. Here are our top 10 favorites:
